Terms of Service
Last updated: September 18, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Intent Amplifier ("Intent Amplifier", "we", "us", or "our") for the Intent Amplifier browser extension, the website at intentamplifier.com, and the dashboard and backend service (together, the "Service"). They are written in plain language so you can actually read them. By installing the extension, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, End User License Agreement and Cookie Policy, which are part of this agreement. Agreeing is not something you can skip: during setup you tick a box for each of the first three documents, and until all three are ticked the amplifier will not write anything for you. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract with us and are not barred from doing so under any applicable law. You must be at least 13 years old, and at least 16 if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or team, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization, and "you" includes that organization.
2. What Intent Amplifier is
Intent Amplifier is a productivity tool. The browser extension adds an "Amplify" button on supported AI chat sites (currently over 20, including Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini). When you press it, the text you were about to send is passed to our backend, which rewrites it into a sharper, more complete version using a hosted AI model. Using the amplifier requires an Intent Amplifier account, which is free to create; see section 6. The Service is built to work only from what you gave it: it is designed not to introduce facts about you or your situation that you did not provide, and it runs automatic checks that catch and rewrite output that does. Those checks reduce that risk rather than removing it, so please read what it hands back before you send it; see section 11. You always decide what, if anything, to actually send. Intent Amplifier does not answer your prompt for you and is not a substitute for the AI chat site itself.
3. The AI sites you use it on
Intent Amplifier runs on top of third-party AI chat sites that we do not own or control. Your use of those sites is governed by their own terms and policies, which continue to apply in full. We are not responsible for those sites, their availability, their output, or any changes they make that affect how the extension works. Do not use Intent Amplifier in a way that breaks the rules of the site you are using it on.
4. Your content and rights
You keep ownership of the prompts you write ("Input") and of the amplified versions we return to you ("Output"). We do not claim ownership of your Input or Output. You are responsible for your Input and for how you use any Output, including making sure you have the right to submit it and that it does not break the law or someone else's rights.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your Input for the sole purpose of running the Service and returning Output to you (for example, sending it to our model provider to be rewritten), and to store it against your account so you can see your own history. Because the amplifier only runs for an account, every prompt you amplify and the prompt we return are saved to that account's history, whether or not you switch on the optional "Share anonymized data" setting. Sharing is a separate, optional choice, and it grants us one further licence you should read before you make it: if you switch it on, a second copy of each record is written to a store we keep permanently and study to understand how the Service is used. That copy is held apart from your own history, carries no name, email address or account number, and is not deleted when your own history ages out or when you close your account, at which point the last link between it and you is removed instead. This licence, limited to that unlinked copy, continues after your account is closed, because the copy does. You can leave sharing off and everything still works. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is stored in each case. We do not use your Input or Output to train the expert framework library or any model. If you deliberately share a prompt with your team through the team library, you are choosing to let your teammates view, copy, and use it, and that choice is yours to make and undo where the feature allows.
5. Our intellectual property
The Service, including the Intent Amplifier and Intentra names and logo, the website, the extension code, the dashboard, and the library of expert framework notes (the "brains"), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not give you any right to our branding or software beyond using the Service as intended. You may not copy, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, scrape, or create a competing product from any part of the Service, except where the law expressly says you can.
6. Accounts and teams
You need an Intent Amplifier account to use the amplifier. The extension will not rewrite a prompt for a browser that is not connected to one, and after you install it the first thing it does is walk you through setting one up. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email and there is no password, so you are responsible for keeping access to that email address and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Before the amplifier writes anything, you also have to agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy and the End User License Agreement, each with its own tick box during setup. We record which version you agreed to, and when. If we change any of the three in a way that matters, the amplifier stops and asks you to agree to the new version before it carries on.
A team owner controls who is invited to and removed from their team and can manage the shared brand voice and shared prompts. Anything you share into a team stays visible to that team even if you later leave, unless the owner removes it. You can leave a team, and you can delete your account, at any time from the dashboard. The one condition is that if you are the only owner of a team that still has members, you need to make someone else an owner or remove the members first, so nobody is left in a team with nobody running it. Deleting your account removes your profile, your linked installs, your recorded activity, anything the Service had remembered about your situation, and your shares and reactions, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
Keeping the Service healthy depends on everyone using it reasonably, on the free plan and the paid ones alike. You agree that you will not:
- Send automated, scripted, or bulk requests, or otherwise use the Service in a way designed to place unusual load on it.
- Attempt to probe, scan, break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the backend, the dashboard, other users' data, or any connected system.
- Try to bypass rate limits, abuse gates, bans, or any technical protection.
- Use the Service to create, promote, or distribute content that is illegal, that infringes someone's rights, or that a reasonable person would consider abusive, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or harmful.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, extract, copy, or republish the expert framework library or any other proprietary part of the Service.
- Resell, rent, sublicense, white-label, or repackage the Service as your own.
- Upload malware, or use the Service to develop a competing product.
8. Rate limits and enforcement
We apply rate limits and automated abuse checks, and we may suspend, restrict, or permanently block any install or account that we reasonably believe is breaking these terms or harming the Service or other users. Where it is practical and appropriate, we will try to give notice, but for serious or ongoing abuse we may act immediately. We would much rather never do this, so please just use the Service in good faith.
9. Plans, payment, and cancellation
Intent Amplifier has a free plan and paid plans. The free plan is free for as long as you want it and does not need a card. What each plan costs and includes is on the pricing page.
Paid plans are sold and billed by Lemon Squeezy, who are the seller of record and handle payment, sales tax, invoicing and refunds on our behalf. You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep your plan until the period you have already paid for runs out, after which the account returns to the free plan. We do not refund a period that has already started, except where the law where you live requires it. The Refund Policy sets this out in full and forms part of these terms.
We may change, add, or remove features, specialisms, or supported sites, and we may change prices. A price change applies from your next renewal, not the period you are in, and we will tell you before it takes effect. We may also set fair-use quotas to protect the underlying model provider's limits.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties to run, including our hosting provider (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), our database and authentication provider (Supabase), our AI model provider, the company that hosts this website (Cloudflare), the payment provider who sells our paid plans as seller of record (Lemon Squeezy), the service that delivers our optional emails (Klaviyo), and providers of contact-form delivery, sign-in email delivery, fonts, and geolocation lookup. Their systems and terms apply to the parts they operate, and we are not responsible for outages or issues caused by them. See the Privacy Policy for how these providers handle data.
11. Disclaimers
Amplified prompts are suggestions produced by an AI system. They are often better than what went in, and on requests that were already clear and complete they can be worse, which is why the Service tells you when it thinks your request is ready to send as it is. They are not professional, legal, financial, medical, or other expert advice, and no Output is guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation. AI systems can be wrong or make things up. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying anything important before you rely on it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. The backend runs on a dedicated always-on server, but maintenance, provider outages, and downtime can still happen.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Intent Amplifier and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Intent Amplifier from claims, damages, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your Input, your use of the Service, your Output, or your breach of these terms or of any law or third-party right. This does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by our own breach of these terms or by our unlawful conduct.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the extension and, if you have one, deleting your account from the dashboard. We may suspend or end your access to the Service, in whole or in part, if you break these terms or if we reasonably need to in order to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content ownership, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) will continue to apply after your use ends.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you and we submit to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory law in your place of residence requires otherwise. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us through the contact page so we can try to resolve it informally first. Most concerns can be sorted out quickly this way.
16. General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, and the Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a right on one occasion is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition, or reorganization. Headings are for convenience only.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update the Service and these terms as Intent Amplifier grows. When a change is meaningful, we will update the "Last updated" date above and note it on the changelog. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, that counts as accepting the updated terms. If you do not agree to a change, please stop using the Service.
These terms, the Privacy Policy and the End User License Agreement are the three documents you tick during setup, and for those we do not rely on continued use alone. When one of them changes in a way that matters, the amplifier stops and asks you to agree to the new version before it runs again.
